The Senior CAD/ Calculator is responsible for the preparation of CAD work involving detailed files, survey interpretation, and a variety of reference data.
Job Responsibilities
- Process field data (interpreting data and field notes)
- Provide accurate calculations to field staff and process various types of survey plans.
- Interaction with field staff to ensure proper configuration of data/sketches and conformity to client specifications, local by-laws and Registry Office information
- Prepare plans for final delivery to the client.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of land surveying experience, CAD experience, and/or calculating experience
- Minimum of 3 years working with either AutoCAD/LDD, Microstation and Microsoft Office
- A good understanding of municipal zoning by-laws and the ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and site plans are also required
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent organization and project management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate problems and concerns with clients and staff
- Ability to learn new field and office surveying technologies and familiarity with field methodology is an asset
